The Cider Foundation approves the temporary closure to undertake reforms.
LA SIDRA.- The Cider Museum in Nava, opened in 1996 will stay closed for the second time in history for cleaning and maintenance purposes.
Works will be carried out during January and February and include the building roof repair, which is leaking, and the substitution of the current illumination by led lighting to cut down on the electricity bill.
It is also intended to reserve a space for the Cider Pourers Official Championship winners and employ a coordinator or manager, missing figure since 2014.
A major issue that remains unaddressed from the Principality and the Central Government is the lack of road signs in motorway A-64, claim Nava is still struggling for.
The Museum ended last year with a record of nearly 17,000 visitors, a higher number than in 2016, which the Foundation trusts to continue growing. The increasing number of visitors was also reflected in foreign tourists from Germany, Belgium and Holland, as well as school visits.
