Chusa Fernández and Soraya Pardo told LA SIDRA why Sidra JR and Sed de PKDO fit Corredoria Bar Rock.
At Corredoria Bar Rock in San Cristóbal, Avilés, cider is part of the bar’s identity. Chusa Fernández and Soraya Pardo introduced JR with a straightforward priority: choosing a product their customers enjoy.
Chusa, who began her career at Casa Moisés, was already familiar with life behind the bar. JR arrived through a personal connection: trust in the distributor and an opportunity to try the cider. Customers’ reactions helped establish it in the business.
In the September 2026 report, Chusa highlights the cider’s balance and character. Sed de PKDO is identified as the cider they were serving at the time of the interview. The choice rests on flavour, consistency and the response from customers.
The magazine recorded a volume of between 15 and 20 cases a week at the time of its visit. That figure illustrates cider’s place in the business; it is neither a forecast nor a permanent sales figure.
The photographs show a bar with a strong rock identity. In that setting, Chusa and Soraya see cider as part of their relationship with the people who walk through the door. The trust that brought the product to the bar has to be sustained through service and satisfied customers.
Corredoria Bar Rock is at Bastián, 3, San Cristóbal, Avilés. Despite the name, this report concerns an establishment in Avilés, rather than the Uviéu neighbourhood.
JR’s relationship with cider houses also appears in the reports on Sidrería Principado, El Madreñeru de Cayés and Mesón Viana in Avilés. Each describes a different experience with the cider.
The Sidra JR archive brings together further coverage of the brand. This account of Corredoria Bar Rock is adapted from the visit published in LA SIDRA 269.
