LA SIDRA.- Issue 269 of LA SIDRA arrives this September with an edition packed with cider culture.
The cover features Sidra Canal, which received two major awards during the Xixón Natural Cider Festival: the 2026 Tonel de Oro, recognising the cidery’s trajectory, and the Elogio de Oro for its DOP cider El Santu.
The magazine also covers Xixón’s major cider celebrations, homemade cider competitions in Villaviciosa, Piloña, Onís, Siero and Salas, as well as the 16th International Hall of Gala Ciders —SISGA— and the SISGA Japan experience in Tokyo.
One of the main feature articles looks at tax protection for British pubs and opens the debate on the treatment of traditional Asturian cider houses, which play an essential role in transmitting a culture recognised by UNESCO.
