The contest, free to enter, is organized by Fundación Asturies XXI with the support of Sidra JR and in collaboration with the Asemeyando Photographic Association and LA SIDRA magazine.
LA SIDRA – The 17th International LA SIDRA Photography Contest has just been announced. This year, it takes on an even more international character thanks to the support of the European Network of Cider and Apple Cities – Cider Cities.
It’s worth noting that this is the only photography contest themed around cider in the entire Spanish state, and as far as we know, also internationally. Now in its seventeenth edition, the contest is organized by Fundación Asturies XXI, sponsored by Sidra JR, and made possible thanks to the collaboration of the Asemeyando Association.
Key information:
- Participation is free.
- The theme is cider, apples, or any of their derivatives.
- Photos must be submitted by their original authors only, with a maximum of 5 images per participant.
- All photographic genres and techniques are accepted. Infographics are not allowed.
- Images representing cider-making and consumption processes will be especially valued, whether in Asturias or elsewhere.

- JPG format
- Resolution: 8400 x 2800 pixels, horizontal or vertical
- No borders; full bleed image
- Max file size: 8 MB

- Jury decision announced: From September 20, 2025
- Award ceremony: From September 28, 2025
Prizes:
- Winner: €700 cash + CEF gold medal
- Runner-up: €200 cash + CEF silver medal
- Third place: €100 cash + CEF bronze medal
- Special Mention “Sidra JR”: €100 cash + 2 boxes of Sidra JR (to be collected at the cider house by the winner)
