LA SIDRA.— The cider house at 20 Calle Valencia in Xixón features in the restaurant pages of LA SIDRA 270. The format remains the same on weekdays and at weekends, when more special dishes are offered.

- Monday to Friday: €16.
- Saturdays: €24.
- Sundays: €27.

A long-established Xixón cider house
El Saúco opened in 1977. Its history featured in our report on forty years of tradition, alongside earlier food coverage such as ribs and cider.
The menu offers an introduction to an establishment within the wider food culture of Asturian cider houses. Everyday cooking and service also belong in the discussion about support for cider houses: cider’s cultural value lives on in the places where it is served and shared.
