The gathering will take place on Saturday 24 October at 2 pm at Llagar El Güelu. Music and children’s activities will accompany this fundraiser for Asociación Nora’s programmes, with tickets priced at €28 for adults and €15 for children.

Cider and solidarity will come together once again in Pruvia, in the municipality of Llanera. Asociación Nora is holding its 16th charity espicha, a traditional Asturian cider gathering, on Saturday 24 October 2026 from 2 pm at Llagar El Güelu. Families, members, friends and supporters will meet to raise funds for the organisation’s services and projects.

The programme includes a DJ and children’s activities, with support from Cometa Verde. The aim is to enjoy a day together while contributing to Nora’s work with people with disabilities and their families.

Tickets and where to buy them

Tickets cost €28 for adults and €15 for children. They can be purchased at the association’s headquarters until Thursday 22 October at 3 pm. They will also be available at Llagar El Güelu on Friday 23 October and on Saturday 24 October before the event begins.

Nora’s headquarters are on Calle Falo Moro in La Pola Siero. The organisation can be contacted on +34 985 72 48 11. There is also a donation-only “Mesa 0” option for people who wish to contribute without attending.

A cider mill with a community role

Nora’s relationship with El Güelu is longstanding: the cider mill has supported the association since 2009, helping to fund part of the menu for this annual gathering. It is an example of how Asturian cider mills serve as meeting places and support community organisations.

Nora was founded in 1992 by families and friends of people with disabilities, who joined forces to address a lack of local resources. Its work focuses on improving quality of life, supporting independence and helping families.

That social commitment is part of Asturian cider culture. Other initiatives include the Espicha Solidaria with Javier Gutiérrez as its ambassador, supporting people with cancer, and Tierra Astur’s charity bottle campaign, linked to the restoration of apple orchards. In Pruvia, participation will help sustain Nora’s programmes and its work for people with disabilities.
