Designer, writer and musician, Mark Gleonec is the president of the AOP Sidra de Cornouaille. Harvester and cider lover, we had the opportunity to meet him personally at SISGA’17 and to whom we return the visit with this interview.
THE CIDER. – Mark Gleonec is one of the people of reference in the international cider scene, not only by the position that occupies to the front of the AOP – the equivalent to the Denomination of Origin – Cider of Cornouaille, but because it has a general and integrative vision of what is the world of cider, uniting without contradiction the love and commitment to the cider of their country, with the necessary international projection, the acceptance of the different as a wealth to defend. Also the fight against the solutions easy, the “ciders of water”, that cider is not, but that floods the international market.
Anzu Fernández is the International Delegate of LA SIDRA and the Asturies XXI Foundation, apart of coordinator of the translations.
He is the ambassador of the Asturian cider at the main international cider fairs, and manager of the international delegations of the International Hall of Gala Ciders (IHGC).
