LA SIDRA Magazine is taking part these days in CiderCon, the major international event for the cider sector, held in Providence (Rhode Island, USA), with the aim of continuing to deepen its knowledge of cider around the world while, at the same time, giving greater visibility to Asturian cider culture on a global stage.

The presence at this professional gathering represents a strategic opportunity to further promote Asturian cider, sharing the uniqueness of its production model, its culture, its history, and its deep connection to the territory. This international presence strengthens Asturies’ role as a reference region within the global cider landscape. At the same time, within the framework of CiderCon, LA SIDRA is also working to seek participants and establish contacts for a new edition of the Salón Internacional de les Sidres de Gala (SISGA), a key event held in Xixón that has become a fundamental meeting point for high-quality cider producers from around the world.
Likewise, specific meetings are being held to present the philosophy of Cider Cities, an initiative that promotes cooperation between cities and territories linked to cider, highlighting its cultural, tourism, and economic dimensions. The goal is to continue building international networks that strengthen cider as a unifying element for communities and as a driver of sustainable development. In this context, visibility is also being given to the city of Xixón as a tourist destination.
In addition, CiderCon offers a highly valuable opportunity to gain first-hand insight into new trends in the sector, exchange experiences with producers from the United States, and reinforce the idea of cider as a cultural and identity-based product with international projection. From LA SIDRA, attendance at workshops, talks, and discussion spaces forms part of an ongoing process of learning and active listening to what is happening in the global cider scene.
Through its participation in CiderCon, LA SIDRA reaffirms the magazine’s commitment to dissemination, international connection, and the defense of Asturian cider culture in an increasingly global context, in which it is essential that Asturian cider remains strongly present.
