THE CIDER.- The Apple Festival will be held from October 11 to 13; and therefore the council opens the deadline to participate in the contest of apple, plantations and other activities. It has also convened the traditional contest of Carriages of the Festival, and the participation in the gastronomic days and in the autumn market.
The Apple Festival will reach this year 2019, its 32 edition. Within the framework of it, a series of activities will be carried out, among which the competitions of apples and plantations stand out for their tradition and relevance. The City Council of Villaviciosa has just opened the registration period, which will end on September 10.
Likewise, the restaurants of the council of Villaviciosa who wish to participate in the gastronomic days that will be held during the Festival, can send their menu proposals to the City Council until September 6.
An autumn market will also be included in the Festival program, in which artisans can participate in agrifood producers, through any professional that has a relationship with the world of apples and their derivatives. The market will be held on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 at 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The rules and registration forms are available on the website and the registration period ends on September 20. The Festival will also dedicate a space for the exhibition and sale of agricultural machinery.
