The magazine LA SIDRA will be present at CiderCon 2026, the leading international professional event for the cider sector, which will take place this year in Providence, Rhode Island (USA), from February 2 to 5, at the Rhode Island Convention Center.

A delegate from LA SIDRA will travel across the ocean to cover the event and share information with producers, professionals, and international audiences about Asturian cider, its culture, history, and the traditional model that defines it as a collective and identity-based product.
CiderCon is organized by the American Cider Association and brings together producers, distributors, researchers, and suppliers from around the world each year. The 2026 edition will be held under the motto “Crafting Cider’s Future Together”, with a program focused on technical training, trend analysis, business innovation, and professional exchange.
In addition to the conference sessions, the event includes pre-conference activities such as visits to cideries in Connecticut and Rhode Island, a historical tour focused on Prohibition in Providence itself, and special sessions at the Johnson & Wales University Culinary Arts Museum, where cider and gastronomy engage in a cultural and sensory dialogue.
The participation of LA SIDRA at CiderCon 2026 continues the magazine’s international outreach work in previous editions, where informational materials and specialized publications on Asturian cider were distributed. The aim is to keep building networks, showcase the uniqueness of Asturian cider culture, and highlight, on the international stage, a living heritage that combines tradition, community, and innovation.
In this way, LA SIDRA reinforces its commitment to promoting cider as a cultural and social product, bringing the name of Asturias and its cider culture to global forums where the present and future of the sector are being discussed.
