One of the most important summits of the world of ciders is to be held from September 25 to 29. A meeting in which more than 50 cidermakers from 12 different countries will participate and will show and offer their most outstanding and innovative products in a congress full of activities for both producers and the general public.
The Open Tasting to the public will take place on Saturday, September 28 at the Colexata de San Xuan Bautista in Xixón from 12:00 to 21:00 hours. In this one, all the cidermakers will have differentiated stands in which they will show and give to taste their drinks. The ticket can be purchased for six euros and with it a glass for the tasting will be provided. An unparalleled occasion to know these drinks from places as distant as the United States, Japan, Portugal, Germany or Italy. Also in this edition there will be an interesting participation of Baltic countries such as Latvia, Estonia, Finland and Poland; as well as a large representation of the Czech Republic. Of course Asturian cider mills and also from the Spanish State will attend. Specifically there will be (so far confirmed) 12 Asturian cider mills, 3 of the Spanish Estau and about 35 foreigners.
The SISGA is an essential event for all those who wish to know the great variety of ciders that are currently made in the market, since no other gastronomic meeting of the State brings together so many international producers of this drink. There will be sparkling ciders – brut, sweet, semi-dry and pink – ciders of ice and fire, spirits, ciders made with different ingredients, cider snacks and those presented in formats of a third or others.
