Maley tops the SISGA Premium awards as Jörg Geiger wins the most distinctions

A group of people raise glasses of cider in a toast around a table.

The Italian cidery secures three Premium awards and two Silvers, while the German producer leads the overall tally with eight awards. Kuartango and Bevvy Podlaski follow with seven distinctions each.

LA SIDRA.- Two producers stand out in the results of the 16th International Hall of Gala Ciders. Italy’s Maley wins the most Premium awards, with three, while Germany’s Manufaktur Jörg Geiger collects the most distinctions overall, with eight. A count of the official SISGA 2026 awards list highlights both the number of accolades and the highest distinctions awarded in each category.

Maley finishes with three Premium awards and two Silvers. Its top honours go to Cidre du Saint Bernard, in naturally carbonated semi-dry sparkling cider; Poire Jorasses, in semi-dry perry; and Lo Cristallier, in cider liqueur. Silver awards for Cidrerie de Savoie Cuvee du Cre, in naturally carbonated brut sparkling cider, and Whynper, in cider spirit, complete its tally.

These five awards recognise products in five different categories. The result brings recognition to Maley’s project, led by Gianluca Telloli and associated with the restoration of historic apple orchards in the Aosta Valley and French Savoy.

Manufaktur Jörg Geiger ranks second in the Premium tally, with two: Craftvol, in cider spirit, and !Wehmut, in vermouth. Behind these two producers, sixteen cider makers are tied on one Premium award. They include Kuartango, Elysium, Sidra Fran, Gallinal Drinks and Sidra Cortina.

Counting all distinctions, Jörg Geiger moves into first place with eight: two Premium awards, two Silvers and four Bronzes. Its Silvers go to HolzApfel and Cider Mild; its Bronzes to Birnengold, WiesenObst Cider Mild, Apfelsinfonie and Schwäbisches WiesenObst Rosé. The German producer therefore earns recognition across six categories, including alcohol-free cider.

Next in the overall tally are Kuartango and Bevvy Podlaski SP ZOO, with seven awards each. The Basque cidery collects one Premium, two Silvers and four Bronzes, led by Su-sagar’s Premium in the fire cider category. The Polish producer wins three Silvers and four Bronzes.

Six awards each go to Mooma, from Catalunya, and Sagarraleku Sidras Baldorba, from the Basque Country. Mooma collects five Silvers and one Bronze; Baldorba, two Silvers and four Bronzes. Maley, Domaine de la Galotiere and Markenhof Cidre make up the group with five distinctions, with the latter two each receiving three Silvers and two Bronzes.
